Undoubtedly it is true that recent advancement in the information technology have change the people's behavior toward the using of library for studying.i agree with the statement they are not necessary for this purpose and in following paragraphs i will support my idea's
first of all the principal advantage of the information available on the internet is convenient .for example on the internet with just one click people can get all kind of information just at the blink of eye.further more for instance like medical doctors they can search out the latest information which is not yet published in the books due to delay in the printing and the can result in the more beneficial to the patients.
second of all.the information on the internet is available at all the place no matter where people are and they stay.for instance they no need to carry heavy books with them all the time which is inconvenient for most of the time in case if the y are travelling abroad and they need those information which is written in these books.so it is better just use internet any place and get information which they need.
finally people can read the information at their place instead of going to library which for most of the people not in the reach of walking distance they like to stay at home and read at their home.further more people have busy life schedule so they think it is better to study at home using internet.
to conclude in my point of view now in recent years there is no need of libraries any more because the people's life style have changed
